A new tradition begins in 2022
Friends and neighbors turned out last week for several wonderful evenings of film, food and festivities in this historic landmark!
We set up a large screen on the altar, flanked by a Christmas tree on the left, to show the following movies.
- Thurs Dec 15 – Love Actually
- Sat Dec 17 – Polar Express
- Sat Dec 17 – It’s A Wonderful Life
- Sun Dec 18 – ELF
- Sun Dec 18 – Holiday Inn
The showings took place in the midst of a several day storm, with Friday’s White Christmas canceled due to snow and ice. Performer Thomas F. Hall was on hand to play a wonderful selection of holiday music on the keyboard for guests prior to the screenings.
A hot cocoa bar was enjoyed by most guests. It included Ghirardelli chocolate, crushed candy canes, cocoa nibs, peppermint sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, crushed maple candy and whipped cream.
Wendt’s Hop and Deli of Vernon Center provided oatmeal raisin and toffee chip cookies. Baby Cakes Bakery of Clinton provided Vanilla Cake Pops and Peanut Butter Cup-Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies. Diane Lummis of Vernon provided M&M cookies. Drew’s Magic and Balloon Animals provided festive elf and Santa balloons for raffle prizes. Gourmet popcorn was also on hand.
Special Thanks to:
Julie Healy, Rich, Joan and Kyle Greene, Diane Lummis, Emma, Katie, Aaron and Wyatt Falkenmeyer, and Thomas F. Hall, Puleo Landscaping, Drew Allen and all those who attended or helped spread the word!
